What happens if the account holder passes away?

By Nurul Izzati

Your gold savings are not lost. They become part of your estate.

Legal heirs can claim the remaining gold in the GAP account or settle any outstanding physical gold payments by bringing the required documents to a Public Gold branch, such as:

  • Death Certificate
  • Heir's Identity Card
  • Marriage Certificate (for spouse) or Birth Certificate
  • Letter of Administration (Court/Amanah Raya)
